Planting for the future
The Big Plant is an annual community event where thousands of trees are
planted to restore a riparian buffer ecosystem around Stroubles Creek at the StREAM Lab and on Virginia Tech Foundation land. This annual event is facilitated by many Virginia Tech departments and student organizations as well as state agencies and coalitions who are all working toward a goal of sustainable development and ecological restoration.
