Meet the interior design seniors: Virginia Tech and Gensler prepare graduates for success

I'm so excited to be here today here in DC at Ginsler, one of the best design firms in the world. And we're thankful that they invite us here and that they welcome our students and host this wonderful event we call Meet the Grads. So what we're doing here is all of our students who are in the process of graduating, are showing off their best work, their final capstone projects. And we've got hundreds of professionals from I, DC area to hear from Ginsler. They're going to meet them, get to know their projects, give them some feedback, and really just celebrate them and this tremendous journey and wonderful journey they've had at Virginia Sectar Design. Really fun to just get feedback from actual professionals who are here today and to see how we can improve and see if they like it and, like, see how we can continue to make it better after today. I'm hoping to just, honestly, just get good and bad feedback, like, just hearing other people's opinions because I've been looking at my project for almost six months now. So it's really nice to get a fresh pair of eyes on our project and see how well we're doing. Well, being a fellow hookie, we absolutely love to be able to have all of our, you know, potential new hookies come into the Gamsler office. Almost a reunion where we have a lot of people that have been working at Gensler for a while and have a really long history, you know, and connections with Virginia Tech. And also within our community, we've been able to invite people in for them to have a reunion moment as well. Over the years, it's been such a great partnership between Gensler and Virginia Tech. We love having the tradition of the Virginia Tech students come to our office, getting kind of a firsthand, professional experience by showing in our office and, you know, meeting our staff and changing and getting to know each other. So it's a great tradition, and we're very happy to host that every year. It's been a privilege to be part of your journey. Yeah, it's always like been hard to take away yourself to be a chat back. Today, we're kind of like guarant a celebration. Like, I mean, very emotional. It's a huge milestone. Yeah, no, being here to meet the grads last year felt like it was yesterday, which is crazy. Just seeing these students and their thesis, it's insane. They're all incredibly talented. And I just the different scopes of work and, like, the different range and, like, how some students kind of flock to hospitality, some to workplace, and some to multifamily. Like, it's really cool to, like, see exactly what each student's niche is. And what's cool is that I got to know a lot of them personally last year because I was their TA.
