2024 Graduate Commencement
Virginia Tech held the spring graduate commencement ceremony on May 8. At the ceremony, Virginia Tech President Tim Sands welcomed approximately 250 graduates for Ph.D. programs and masters in interdisciplinary studies.
On behalf of Virginia Tech, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our spring 2024 Graduate Commencement exercises in this 153rd year of the university. There are approximately 249 doctoral graduates here today. Thank you to all the parents and everyone from Virginia Tech for being here today to celebrate this occasion. Congratulations to us all for our great achievement and go Hokies! Class of 2024, as we embark on the next chapter of our life, let's never forget the struggles and sacrifice we and our loved ones have overcome to reach this great moment. Congratulations, Hokies! On behalf of our entire academic community, I congratulate you. And I'm grateful for the opportunity to join you in your celebration of this milestone event. Thank you for joining us, and once again, congratulations, graduates! Go Hokies!
