The Veterans Day remembrance ceremony was held in the War Memorial Chapel. Then, Executive Vice President and Provost, Cyril Clarke and Maj. Gen. Randal Fullhart, commandant of cadets, placed the memorial wreath in front of the cenotaph on War Memorial Court. The Gregory Guard, the corps’ precision rifle drill team, fired a rifle salute, and a bugler played Taps.

Veterans Day is a day that celebrates veterans and their families and the sacrifices we've made. Virginia Tech and its embodiment of Ut Prosim has a natural bridge that connects veterans, their families, and the entire community together. Ut Prosim invites individuals who are committed to service and want opportunities to serve to come to Virginia Tech. For your veterans Ut Prosim really means "That I may continue to serve." That is the bridge that connects your veterans to the entire Virginia Tech community. A commitment to service, a commitment to students, a commitment to each other and to our community.
