    Business students raise over $28,000 for charity , video

    Pamplin College of Business students raised over $28,000 for charity as part of their Foundations of Business course. This course exposes first-year students to how business works in a free market economy by developing a foundational knowledge of various business functions and of current events occurring in today’s business world. The course incorporates a micro-business project that maps to problem solving, inquiry and integration skills in addition to being a hands-on learning experience about the key functions of a business.

    Immersive exhibit celebrates Nikki Giovanni's life and poetry , video

    Virginia Tech celebrates the late Nikki Giovanni through an immersive exhibit at the Center for the Arts. The exhibit uses video projection of graphics and photos with an original music score to highlight six of Giovanni's poems read by Giovanni herself.     Jaylee Lederhouse, a second-year landscape architecture student, is one of more than 700 students supported by the Presidential Scholarship Initiative, a cornerstone of Virginia Tech Advantage. In addition to tuition assistance, she receives financial assistance with off-campus housing, groceries, study abroad, and material costs associated with her major. "Being able to just pour all of my energy into my work is really important to me and I think it has made all the difference," said Lederhouse. The Presidential Scholarship Initiative is expanding with enrollment reaching 718 students in 2025–26.
