About her: Since fall 2014, Soistmann has been a design research assistant for Brian Matthews, associate dean for learning and outreach for Universities Libraries, and co-authored with him the book “Encoding Space.” Published in February, the book focuses on how library spaces will evolve in the future.
Activities: President of I.D.E.A.S. (Interior Designers for Education and Sustainability), recruitment chair for the triathlon team, member of the Library Student Advisory Council, and was a member of the Hokie cross country and track teams for one year
