Hybrid Electric Vehicle Team prepares for the EcoCAR EV Challenge
The Hybrid Electric Vehicle Team at Virginia Tech (HEVT) competes in the EcoCAR EV Challenge, a 4-year university competition sponsored by MathWorks, General Motors, and the U.S. Department of Energy, and managed by Argonne National Laboratory. The challenge is to redesign a 2023 Cadillac Lyriq's propulsion systems, Level 2 autonomous capabilities, and its electric power train. Students are immersed in experiential learning and gain valuable insight for their future careers.
