The annual Docs for Morgan basketball game was a great success again this year, with the students winning back the trophy after a hard loss last year. Paul Griffin was the Morgan Dana Harrington Scholarship recipient this year. Since it began, this game has helped 14 students pay for medical school.
It's a real honor to be here and do this in memory, and in honor of Morgan Harrington, it's very important for us to hear Morgan's name. When her name isn't mentioned anymore, then she really is gone. So we're very happy to help some of these deserving students through the Morgan Harrington Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is so important because the medical students debts are so high, It's just such an honor. I'm extremely grateful to the Harringtons for the scholarship they've put together. It's made medical school a whole lot easier financially. For me this event is awesome. This was the best Dr. Morgan game ever, the faculty and residents. Well, but this was the year for the students. Personally, I was a little rusty. I went over for four with a couple turnovers. But we had shooters. It just felt really good because in a very short amount of time, we really came together as a team. And I think that showed in the final score. Physicians are competitive, so we wanted to win, make no mistake about it. But the students played well and deserved to win the game. Which will give us a lot of motivation for next year to come back and try to get that trophy back. It's good to bring all of these people together and show that the goodness of people really overcomes the evil of tragedy. Looking forward to playing again next year.
