>> The idea of being able to help out with something that creates a work force is really appealing to me. It's one of my goals is to help people do the thing they're great at and the idea of a discrete school that literally just helps people get to the professional level is something that's amazing, something you can't help wanting to be a part of.

In the way Virginia Tech is growing in this century and the next few decades to come, Innovation Campus is a big milestone. Job opportunities are going to increase tremendously especially people studying in the Northern Virginia area who are not in the traditional Blacksburg campus will have access to a lot more technical jobs which are specific to their research areas so I think that's a huge plus.

A lot of times from a degree program you get a lot of theory but you don't get a lot of hands on practice and as a result when you come into a field it's almost like you're learning everything new even though you spent four or five years learning everything you're supposed to know so there's always this discrepancy or this difference.

The idea that we can lower that gap so we can come into a job with good ideas, good fundamentals and additionally be able to do the work on day one it's an amazing opportunity.
