Meet a Hokie: Austin Crabtree
First year student Austin Crabtree comes from a family of Hokies. He's following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather as his begins his journey at Virginia Tech.

>> When Austin Crabtree moved to campus Virginia Tech was already home. "I just felt like every time I step on campus. It just, it just feels like home every single time." The first year student is double majoring in economics and accounting but what's just as meaningful is he's doing it here.

"It's really special to be a third generation. I feel very proud." Austin chose Virginia Tech, the same university from which his father and grandfather graduated. Austin's father, Mike Crabtree, says when it came to going on campus tours: "The only school I did not visit with my son was Virginia Tech because I didn't want to influence him in any way." But Austin's decision made his father proud.

"Virginia Tech made it feel like home which was validation for me because that's how I felt when I came here. I'm not an emotional guy but it's very, it's a great feeling to know that he's going where went." A family of Hokies, three generations strong. "I'm very happy that I can share my future experience with my dad or my grandfather because we all went to Virginia Tech.
