Virginia Tech is committed to ensuring that everyone can engage with digital content. That’s why Technology-enhanced Learning and Online Strategies (TLOS) has partnered with Deque Systems and WebAIM to provide all students and employees access to new self-paced digital accessibility training.
More than 40 new self-paced courses offer the opportunity to
- learn basic principles and accessibility practices for a variety of digital formats.
- gain hands-on experience making content accessible.
- build career skills in accessible design and innovation.
- improve compliance of digital materials with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II.
- make it easier to develop new content that is fully accessible from the start.
All courses are self-paced with no exams and most take about an hour to complete. Finishing a course automatically awards learners a digital badge, making it easy to track progress.
Visit the Accessibility Portal or review the TLOS Digital Accessibility resources to learn more. Contact 4Help.vt.edu with questions or to request support with the training.
TLOS, a unit of the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost, provides technology, resources, training, and expertise across the Virginia Tech community to build a culture of proactive digital accessibility.
