WHAT: The students and cadets in the first cohort of the Defense Civilian Training Corps will undergo their first team building exercise as they face the challenge of the Virginia Tech Obstacle Course.

Virginia Tech is one of four universities selected by the Department of Defense to pioneer the Defense Civilian Training Corps pilot program. Co-led by the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets and the Virginia Tech National Security Institute’s Hume Center for National Security and Technology, the pilot aims to address critical personnel shortage in the intelligence and defense workforce, with an aspiration to see participating students placed in defense department jobs upon graduation.
