Dining Services recognizes employees with trip to North Carolina Zoo
Employee appreciation is a high priority for Dining Services.
Virginia Tech Dining Services rewarded its hardworking staff with an appreciation trip to the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro. Every other year, at the close of the academic year, the entire dining staff is treated to an employee appreciation trip. This year, over 200 staff members were rewarded for their service. Team members who were in good standing and have worked within the department for two years were eligible for the recognition.
“I’ve never had a job that rewards its workers this way,” said Becky Reed, manager of the Fighting Gobbler at West End. “I’m thankful to be a part of this team and to be able to take part in these employee events.”
Dining Services offers a range of benefits including:
Flexible work schedules
Competitive compensation
Professional development
With almost 2,000 employees, a majority of those being student positions, Dining Services is the largest employer on Virginia Tech's Blacksburg campus. Dining Services is currently hiring for student and staff positions. More information is available at the Dining Services website.
