Virginia Tech Board of Visitors to meet June 2-3

The Virginia Tech Board of Visitors will hold its quarterly board meeting Tuesday, June 3, at 1:15 p.m. in Room 260 of the Classroom Building, 1455 Perry St., on the Blacksburg campus.
On Tuesday, June 3, the board’s committee chairs will meet in open session at 7:15 a.m. in the Old Guard Room at The Inn at Virginia Tech.
Board committee meetings will take place at the times listed below. Unless otherwise noted, all meetings will be held in Room 260 of the Classroom Building.
- The Academic, Research, and Student Affairs Committee will meet at 9 a.m. Monday, June 2 in open session.
- The Academic, Research, and Student Affairs and Finance and Resource Management Committees meet jointly in closed session at 10:30 a.m. June 2 followed by the Academic, Research, & Student Affairs Committee meeting in closed session.
- The Buildings and Grounds Committee will meet at 1:30 p.m. June 2 for tours of several residence halls. The committee also meets in open session at 11 a.m. June 3.
- The Buildings and Grounds and Finance and Resource Management committees meet jointly in open session, then closed session, starting at 8:15 a.m. June 3.
- The Compliance, Audit, and Risk Committee will meet at 3:30 p.m. June 2 in open and closed sessions.
- The Executive Committee will meet at 12:30 p.m. June 2 in closed session in room 210 of the Classroom Building.
- The Finance and Resource Management Committee will meet at 9 a.m. June 3 in open session.
- The Governance and Administration Committee will meet at 11:30 a.m. June 2 in open session.
- The Nominating Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. June 2 in open session in the New River Room at The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center, 901 Prices Fork Road.
During the meetings, board members will consider approval of the university’s 2025-26 operating and capital budgets. They will also hear updates on the university’s Institute for Advanced Computing and the Expand Appalachia CORE-CM Project.

Those attending the meeting in person will need to present a Virginia Tech Hokie Passport or government-issued photo ID and all bags will be searched. Please allow extra time to accommodate these measures. Signs, banners, or any other activity that would obstruct the view of others are prohibited. Public comment will not be received during the two-day meeting.
