Nielsen, Dial CEOs and Wells Fargo vice president to speak on campus
Three alumni of Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business will present Wachovia Distinguished Lectures this fall: Nielsen chairman and chief executive officer David L. Calhoun, Dial president and chief executive officer Brad Casper, and Wells Fargo Securities vice president Nick D'Angelo.
The events are free and open to the public, no tickets needed. The speakers will discuss the leadership opportunities, challenges, and successes they encountered in their careers here and abroad; the value of their Pamplin education; and their interest in "giving back" to the college and their communities.
Calhoun's talk, "Success in Business," is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 17, 3:30 - 4:30 p.m., at Old Dominion Hall, Squires Student Center. D'Angelo's talk, "Ut Prosim," is on Thursday, Oct. 1, 3:30 - 4:30 p.m., at the Holtzman Alumni Center's Alumni Assembly Hall. Casper's talk, "Leaving the Comfort Zone: Managing in the Global Economy," is on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2 - 3 p.m., at the Holtzman Alumni Center's Alumni Assembly Hall.

D'Angelo serves on the alumni advisory board of Pamplin's finance department and is a member of the Charlotte chapter of The Campaign for Virginia Tech. He has spoken on various finance topics during previous visits to campus.
Casper received a bachelor's degree in finance in 1982. He has been in his current role at The Dial Corporation, a subsidiary of German multinational Henkel, since April 2005. He was previously president of the personal care division at Church & Dwight and spent 16 years at Procter & Gamble, serving in senior management positions in the United States, China, and Japan. Earlier in his career, Casper worked for GE as a financial analyst in its aircraft engine business.
