From: Division of Facilities

Construction on an ADA-compliant pathway between Patton and Holden halls will begin on Monday, Jan. 6. Construction on the pathway is expected to last through summer 2025.

The pathway, which was designed with universal access and placemaking in mind, will provide more accessible pedestrian areas for students, staff, and visitors with improved lighting, outdoor sitting areas, and increased connectivity for pedestrian flow through campus.

During construction, the area between Holden and Patton halls will be fenced off for construction activities. An accessible route from Holden Hall to the Drillfield is available through the interior of Patton Hall.

Additional updates to this project will be shared via VT News.

Pedestrians and drivers may utilize the Interactive Campus Map to assist with navigation.

Questions may be directed to vtfacilities@vt.edu.
