Virginia Tech is gearing up for Homecoming Oct. 21-26, with activities planned for all members of Hokie Nation.

The celebration begins Monday evening with a Homecoming Kickoff for students on the Drillfield with games, inflatables, food, music, and special guests, including this year’s Homecoming Court candidates.

Other student-centered activities throughout the week include Tuesday’s Laugh Riot sponsored by the Black Student Alliance and Thursday’s Homecoming Concert sponsored by the Virginia Tech Union and Class Programs.

Homecoming Weekend kicks off Friday with events all day. The Friday festivities will culminate in the parade, fireworks show, and the National Pan-Hellenic Council fraternity and sorority yard show in memory of Zenobia L. The tailgate will include food and drinks, lawn games, music, a petting zoo, and football team send-off. Colleges, campus partners, and inclusive alumni communities will participate with student showcases and immersive opportunities for guests to enjoy.

Make sure to review the fan guide for clear bag policies, cashless concession information, and other important details.

To wrap up the weekend, Hokies can join Lindsay Cherry ‘58, one of Virginia Tech’s first Black students, as he gifts his class ring and saber to the Black Cultural Center. This presentation and reception will be held at the Corps Leadership and Military Science Building on Sunday from 10-11:30 a.m.
