Record-breaking Giving Day is a win for Hokies everywhere
In an inspiring display of community spirit and generosity, more than 18,900 Hokies raised more than $13 million for this year’s Giving Day. The event broke records and crushed last year's totals.
Members of Hokie Nation stepped up and joined in the games for 24 hours in support of their favorite colleges, departments, programs, teams, student organizations, and more. The event ran from noon EST Feb. 21 to noon EST Feb. 22.
“We look forward to witnessing the strength of Hokie Nation on Giving Day each year,” said Ann Bolton, director of annual giving. "We know what our community is capable of but seeing the spirit of Ut Prosim in action for those 24 hours is always inspiring. Our accomplishments are far-reaching, from our students to those in the communities we serve. What we do is transformative, and the impact is long-lasting. Thank you to everyone who joined in and made a difference.”
Gifts from generous Hokies provide students with access to life-changing opportunities and experiences, support world-changing research, and help us create a better future for all.
