Marketing Advisory Board welcomes two new members
The Pamplin College of Business is thrilled to announce two Hokie alumni are set to join the Virginia Tech Marketing Advisory Board. Trey Gresh ’14 and Maurisa Potts ’95 will be joining the current board as they work to strengthen the bond between Pamplin alumni and current students who have a passion for marketing. Each member was chosen to become a part of this elite organization based on their passion for the business world and their strong relationship with the university.
The Virginia Tech Marketing Advisory Board, or MAB, was established in the fall of 2010 and exists to support the efforts of the Marketing Department to improve and enhance students' marketing and sales education experience at Virginia Tech. All MAB members bring unique business and industry experiences to the group and are excited to welcome two new members this spring.
Gresh’s time at Virginia Tech was marked by an impressive balance of academic rigor and athletic dedication. He earned dual bachelor’s degrees from Pamplin in marketing and finance and, as a scholarship football player under former Coach Frank Beamer, was instrumental in Virginia Tech's 2010 ACC Championship triumph and participated in several bowl games, including the Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Russell Athletic Bowl, and Sun Bowl. Gresh also served as a member of SEED, the student-managed endowment fund.
His transition from academia to the financial sector was seamless. Gresh’s journey began with a pivotal internship at Morgan Stanley in New York City, followed by a significant role at Family Office Research in Northern Virginia. In June 2022, he embarked on a new chapter with Glassman Wealth Services. Here, Gresh provides top-tier investment and wealth-planning solutions to clients and plays a crucial role in the firm's strategic decisions as part of the investment committee. His enthusiasm for mentoring newcomers further underscores his commitment to the growth of the firm and the industry.
However, Gresh's accomplishments extend beyond his professional sphere. He is a dedicated family man, married to Shannon Mayrose ’14, a former Virginia Tech soccer player. In his free time, Gresh enjoys engaging in outdoor activities like yard work, fishing, hiking, and exploring the beauty of northern Virginia. A passionate sports fan, he remains a fervent supporter of the Hokies.
