Virginia Tech Day at the VIRginia International Raceway features a 24-hour chump race, a Virginia Tech vehicle showcase, tours of the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute, an opportunity for skeet shooting, a Go-Kart Competition, tailgating, an appearance by the HokieBird, and more. This race series is for grassroots race teams and for “chumps” who have always wanted to go road racing without all the hassle. Come out and watch as Joe Average and almost-race-ready cars valued at $500 or less compete in a 24-hour race.
