Steve Waagbo is a 1982 civil engineering alum who invented the "Southern Draw" to help lacrosse players practice the "draw" technique. His daughter and Virginia Tech Women's Lacrosse Head Coach, Kristen Skiera expresses how it's important for players to hone their skills and techniques and that this machine allows players to practice solo. Waagbo plans to increase production and market the device for lacrosse clubs and teams.
