Netta Gurari, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Mechanics, is the primary instructor for a course that immerses students into the life and web of care for individuals with a brain injury. This immersive experience, facilitated by Brain Injury Solutions and Carilion Clinic, allows students to meet people with brain injuries and engage with the framework of support they require in their daily lives. Gurari and Radford University Assistant Professor, Kevin Parcetich, co-teach this experiential learning course with support from an Institute for Society, Culture, and Environment grant.
