Madison Gunnell, a fashion merchandising and design major in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences, shares more about her winning sock designs. Visit give.vt.edu/socksnews to make your gift and secure your Hokie gear.

My name is Madison Gunnell. I'm a fashion design and and merchandising major. I worked on the Hokie socks that I designed this year. One of them is kind of like a thank you bag, has rotating colors on the Hokies and it has an orange toe and heel, and then it also has Virginia Tech on the side. And then the other one is like a mountain-scape, And then on the like little lower down is the outline of Burruss. I'm excited to see how many people wear them around. It would be really cool if the people in my class were wearing them. I've learned a lot at Tech, especially branching out and learning new things. I'm not usually doing the design part. I don't know if I would say I'm pretty good at it. I don't, well, I did win the socks, so maybe.
