Zhen Yan, a top international molecular exercise and physiology researcher, will become the inaugural director of the new Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC Center for Exercise Medicine Research (CEMR).

We think we understand exercises good. I would argue that we only know suddenly that our research has pointed us to the direction that the importance of the power plants in our cells, mitochondria. And we're studying the impact of exercise on the control of mitochondria quality. By doing that, we believe that we would understand why exercise is such a superb beneficial effects on the body to maintain health and prevent disease.
