Meet Jenny Munson, a cancer scientist at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute
Jenny Munson is a principal investigator at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute who studies the tumor microenvironment in cancers, including glioblastoma, the deadliest form of brain cancer. Munson's lab is located in the new $90-million biomedical research addition building in Roanoke.
Hi, my name is Jenny Munson and I work and the first floor of the new biomedical research edition building here at the free limb biomedical research institute. My lab studies the role of the tissue surrounding tumors or the tumor microenvironment and how tumors grow, progress, invade and metastasize. Specifically, we're really interested in fluid flow and fluid drainage and how that affects tumors responses to treatment. And using that specific force to determine how we can better treat tumors in patients.
