Schools from across Virginia send their rising administrators to the series of multiday sessions where they gain hard-earned wisdom from veteran educators.

It's designed to provide relevant experiences, real life experiences, for what school leaders have to deal with every day. It's not a faculty meeting, it's not a professional development day. It's not even a conference where you go and get to select from 20 or 30 sessions or ones that you want to go to. This is a total immersion into professional development, networking and reflecting. We create, probably 70% of the time is interactive. We bring in sitting administrators, principals, teachers, retired superintendents, and assistant supes to share their experiences and offer what their understanding is of what is effective leadership. They're getting real life experiences as well as the knowledge and the theory behind a lot of what they need to know. Its realtime. It's what's happening in their life and their leadership world right now. And they can talk about what's important to them right now, as well as where do I want to go, What's my vision for my future?
