>> This was the school for me. It was one of those like angels were singing moments when I stepped on campus I have no idea what it was. Also I'm a dairy science major. Where else am I going to go? But no, I fell in love with the campus the minute I saw it.

My first two years here were transformative. I had never touched a cow before I came to college, I had never... didn't really know what pigs were, I knew they were cute they were a pig and they were made of bacon and that was kind of it. I knew chickens were kind of scary and I still think that.

I think how hands on it was how you know I could go out I could learn in text book what I was doing that night and then the next day I could go out and actually do it. It's so hands on and so incredible that we're able to like touch and feel every single thing that we're learning about.

Service has been my life especially for this college and especially for my department. I am a College of Ag ambassador, I'm a Hokie ambassador and I'm a Dairy Science ambassador. My goal is to say we're not just a college of cows, sows, and plows, we are the College of so much more than that.

We are the college that's innovating how people are getting food, how people are learning about their bodies, and that's so cool that we are so much bigger than what people think we are. I want to work with nomadic tribal groups and bring Western medicine to them in a culturall
