Alumna reflects on time when there was no pay increase for teachers

Evelyn Blake, a 1949 alumna of Virginia Tech, who received her Master of Science in home economics and taught in the Roanoke, Virginia school system for 40 years, remembers the time when teachers did not receive a salary increase.
