Virginia Tech students from the College of Engineering shared their autonomous technology research at the NVTC Autonomous Technology Summit in the greater Washington, D.C., metro area. Representatives from the Victor Tango AutoDrive team showed off the work they have done to plan, design, and build a fully autonomous ground vehicle as part of the GM and SAE International sponsored AutoDrive Challenge. The EcoSoar drone team shared how they are bringing autonomous technology to Malawi and educating others to make technology more accessible.

[00:00:08] >> This is the Victor Tango AutoDrive design team. We're part of the AutoDrive design team challenge which is sponsored by General Motors. We're one of a few different teams across the country, a few in Canada and we're all aiming to develop a fully autonomous car. So GM gave us a Chevy Volt without anything on it and we had to build all the infrastructure and all the systems to make it autonomous.
