[00:00:05] >> Dr King was a big dreamer. He was an academian as well and I think he's one of the people that prompted me to continue my education. Don't stop it, moving forward never stops. He devoted his life to trying to help others make our society better and that impact I think will be felt until the end of time. [00:00:28] The rights that were a result of his sacrifice and boycotting and holding people in power accountable is what allowed our society to basically turn a major corner in American history. The great orator, Dr Martin Luther King, once again said more than once, "injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." He also said, "everyone has a right to protest for right." Right is understanding what others say, you might not agree with it, but understand why they are saying. [00:01:06] Do what you can where you are and you can do small things in your community in your neighborhood that could change somebody's life. I always see hope. We should never have an attitude of hope is in the past. We always should have hope to do better. A simple word but it has a lot of justification dealing with these sacrifices in that small four-letter word. [00:01:35] I'm inspired by the fact that universities like Virginia Tech that they are willing to make this content available to the public. There's a lot of universities that are not motivated or compelled to do that. Because these are issues that do make people uncomfortable and make people want to pick sides and so a lot of people tend to shy away from them so it was just inspiring to me that Virginia Tech would willingly want to put on a program like that.
