Teaching faculty of all ranks wanted for 2024-25 Inclusive Pedagogy Pathway

From: Office for Inclusion and Diversity

The Office for Inclusion and Diversity is recruiting teaching faculty of all ranks to participate in the 2024-25 Inclusive Pedagogy Pathway.

This Inclusive Pedagogy Pathway introduces participants to the core principles of inclusive pedagogy and engages them in completing an inclusive teaching rubric with specific metrics for measuring how inclusive their teaching may be. Participants use the rubric to assess their current efforts during the fall semester and develop and implement a concrete plan of action to be implemented in the spring semester.

Required work for the Pathway occurs through online, self-paced courses available through the Professional Development Network. Participants also have three in-person meetings that coincide with the Inclusive VT Summit (Aug. 20), the Advancing Diversity Gathering (Jan. 8), and the Summer Institute (mid-May).

Interested employees can apply online through Aug. 15. For more information, email Michele Deramo, associate vice provost for diversity education and engagement.
