Latinx and Hispanic Alumni Society seeking nominations for Achievement Recognition Award

The Latinx and Hispanic Alumni Society is seeking nominations for the society’s Achievement Recognition Award.

The award will be presented to a student who overcame adversity while maintaining academic excellence and/or extracurricular involvement throughout their time at Virginia Tech. 

Nominations can be submitted by oneself, a peer, an alum, and/or a Virginia Tech faculty member. It will be awarded at Gesta Latina, the annual Achievement Ceremony for the Latinx Community, on Thursday, May 9.

Eligible nominees must be an undergraduate or graduate student graduating in May. The deadline to nominate a student is April 22. Nominations can be submitted online and should be 250 words or less.
