Pedestrian impacts: Steam tunnel improvements to occur near Vawter Hall

To accommodate improvements to the steam tunnel system on Virginia Tech's Blacksburg campus, a portion of the sidewalk on the west side of Vawter Hall will be temporarily closed from approximately Monday, May 19 - Monday, June 23. 

During this time, pedestrians are encouraged to use alternative routes around the Newman Hall intelligent lockers and onto Kent Street. 

Pedestrians are encouraged to exercise caution and follow posted directional signage. Pedestrians may also use the Interactive Campus Map to assist with navigation.
