Free community choir concert on May 1

You are invited to join us as The Beat Goes On with the community choir from the Engagement Center for Creative Aging! This concert will take place in the Creativity and Innovation District Performance Hall on Thursday, May 1. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and singing starts at 6 p.m. with music provided by Off Our Rockers.
This concert is a celebration of togetherness and community, designed by music therapists, to specifically support persons living with dementia and their caregivers through community choir singing. Our choir welcomes all and has an age range of 7-97 from the Virginia Tech and New River Valley community.
Our choir was recently received a 2025 Best Practice Award from the Commonwealth Council on Aging and the Virginia Department of Aging and Rehabilitative Services! Come on out and learn more about how SINGING is good for YOU and EVERYONE! Learn more about our choir here.
