Corps of Cadets to fire a rifle salute during Veterans Day ceremony and practice

The Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets will honor Veterans Day and the service of our nation’s military during a remembrance ceremony at 10:30 a.m. in the War Memorial Chapel on Monday, Nov. 11.

Cadets will practice for the ceremony on Friday, Nov. 8. During practice, the Gregory Guard, the corps' precision rifle drill team, will fire a rifle salute between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m.

During the ceremony on Monday, Nov. 11, a memorial wreath will be placed in front of the cenotaph on War Memorial Court at approximately 11 a.m. Cadets will fire a rifle salute, and a bugler will play taps.

The event is open to the public.
