Soldiers and Statistics: American Soldiers and the 1918 Flu
From: College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences
Statistics and Stories is a Virginia Tech course project examining how the 1918 Influenza Epidemic affected American soldiers during World War I. The project examines quantitative evidence about the impact of the flu from the Medical Department of the United States Army and tells the stories of Virginia soldiers who died of disease during and after the final months of the war.
Presentation of this research will take place on Nov. 11 (Armistice Day), at 2:30 p.m. in Newman Library 101S and in a Zoom webinar: https://virginiatech.zoom.us/s/83303535059
