Noise amplification alert: Ring Dance celebration

From: Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets, and the Class of 2025

Skipper, the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets cannon, will fire twice in celebration of Ring Dance on Saturday, March 23, between 10 and 11 p.m. Both shots will be fired from the Drillfield.

Also that evening, March 23, the Class of 2025 invites the Virginia Tech and Town of Blacksburg communities to view the Ring Dance Fireworks Display which will be fired off on the Drillfield at approximately 11:15 p.m.

Before and during the fireworks display vehicular and pedestrian traffic may be restricted on and around the Drillfield loop. This 10-15 minute display is being done in accordance to the many requirements by the Commonwealth of Virginia, the Virginia Tech office of environmental health and safety and both the Virginia Tech and Blacksburg police departments.
