John Leschinskey '97 thought he lost his class ring forever when playing volleyball as a student in the Eggleston Quad. Over 25 years later, it was discovered by the Division of Campus Planning, Infrastructure, and Facilities' heavy equipment crew in the very place it was lost.

Travis "Rusty" Unterzuber, an alumnus who graduated almost 50 years ago, recently participated in the Hokie Gold Legacy Program, a unique program that allows Virginia Tech alumni to donate class rings to be melted to create gold for use in future class rings. This tradition is rare in that connects the past, the present and the future.
