World War II era North American B-25 Mitchell flyover hosted by the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets for Wake Forest game
The Tri-State Warbird Museum located in Batavia, Ohio, will conduct a military flyover with a historic World War II era North American B-25 Mitchell during the National Anthem prior to the Virginia Tech versus Wake Forest football game on Homecoming, Saturday, Oct. 16.
The flyover is expected barring weather or operational factors and has been arranged by Stan Cohen who earned a degree in architectural engineering from the College of Engineering and is a member of the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets Class of 1949. The aircraft will be on display at the Virginia Tech/Montgomery Regional Airport on Friday, Oct. 15 between 1 and 3 p.m.
The B-25 medium bomber is most famously known as the aircraft used by the Doolittle Raiders to carry out their historic bombing mission against Japan in April of 1942.
