Letter from Provost McNamee to the university community
Dear Colleagues, We are in regular contact with Zenobia's family and we will be coordinating plans for memorial services and remembrances with their plans. The expressions of condolences for Zenobia are very powerful and demonstrate the love and admiration we all have for her. We will provide additional details as they develop.
I have asked Dr. Ed Spencer, associate vice president of student affairs, to serve as interim vice president of student affairs, effective immediately.
We have set up space in the Jamestown Room at Squires for faculty, staff, and students to gather for counseling, peer support, conversation, or solitude. Also, tables on the main level of Squires have been set up to receive cards or other items.
At this time of great sadness, our thoughts and prayers are with Zenobia’s family.
Mark McNamee
Senior Vice President and Provost
