Jane Chadwick named human resources division director for the College of Natural Resources and Environment
Jane Chadwick has been hired as human resources division director for the College of Natural Resources and Environment.
Chadwick joins Virginia Tech from Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, where she served as director of human resources, leading human resources strategy for more than 800 employees, more than 100 physicians, and advanced practice providers across 14 clinics.
Chadwick jointly reports to Saskia van de Gevel, dean of the College of Natural Resources and Environment, and Curtis Mabry, assistant vice president for HR consulting.
“Our division directors empower Virginia Tech’s colleges and departments to succeed,” said Bryan Garey, vice president for human resources. “Jane’s 15 years of human resources leadership experience across higher education, healthcare, and professional services make her a wonderful addition to the cohort of directors, and we’re excited to welcome her into the Hokie Nation.”
Chadwick will work with the dean of the college while partnering with the Division of Human Resources as the senior human resources leader to align college people initiatives with HR’s universitywide strategy.

Prior to Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Chadwick was director of human resources and learning and development at Sherman & Howard LLP. Chadwick is a senior professional in human resources and holds certifications in human resources management, leadership development, and Lean process improvement.
She received a master's degree in adult learning, training and development from Regis University and a bachelor's degree in speech communication from Ithaca College.
