Dear Hokies,

There’s no better way to show your Hokie spirit than by cheering on our team at a home football game! As we get ready for this Saturday’s matchup against Vanderbilt, let’s make sure everyone has a safe, fun, and memorable experience.

Your gameday tips

Hydrate and fuel up: Game day excitement can be thrilling, so don’t forget to grab a bite before heading out and keep water handy.

Respect each other and our community: Hokie Spirit shines brightest when we treat each other with kindness and respect. Be mindful of fellow students, guests, and our campus environment.

No Hokie Left Behind: Stick with your crew — arrive together, stay together, and leave together. Looking out for one another helps prevent unsafe or high-risk situations.

Be smart about safety: Use designated walkways, follow event guidelines, and reach out to Virginia Tech Police or staff if you need assistance.

Have fun and celebrate responsibly: This is your time to make memories, support our team, and enjoy the energy of our campus. Let’s do it the Hokie way — safe, spirited, and respectful.

Important gameday reminders

We’re proud of the Hokie Nation and can’t wait to see you out there showing what it means to be part of this incredible student body. Let’s continue to live out the spirit of Ut Prosim (That I May Serve) through our actions and support for one another.

Go Hokies!
