Senior Airman Travis Miller named Georgia Tech game Hokie Hero
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Travis Miller, a 2019 Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets alumnus who earned his degree in civil engineering from the College of Engineering in 2023, was selected as the Hokie Hero for Saturday’s Homecoming football game against Georgia Tech.
The Hokie Hero program honors corps alumni who are deployed. Recipients are highlighted by Bill Roth and Mike Burnop during their radio broadcast of Hokie football games, on the Corps of Cadets website, and in the Corps Review alumni magazine.
Miller is deployed to Kadena Air Base in Japan with the 27th Fighter Squadron, where he supports maintenance efforts for the deployed F-22 aircraft to preserve deterrence capabilities and flexibility in the Indo-Pacific region. During his time in the Corps, he was a member of the corps’ Citizen-Leader Track and Kilo Company.
