United States Air Force Heritage Brass to perform free Moss Arts Center concert
The storied military tradition of brass and percussion comes to the Moss Arts Center stage with a free performance by Heritage Brass, a pioneering symphonic brass ensemble representing Air Force professionals serving across the globe, on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 7:30 p.m.
Heritage Brass performances are both exhilarating and intimate. With 10 brass players and a percussionist, the ensemble performs throughout the East Coast, from South Carolina to Maine, showcasing the service’s excellence and precision. The group maintains a rigorous performance schedule, presenting a diverse repertoire that features orchestral transcriptions, patriotic favorites, jazz standards, and new compositions. Whether performing at a concert hall, educational venue, a large sporting event, or in support of a military function, an innovative approach allows Heritage Brass to perform both as a large symphonic group and a small chamber ensemble.
As professional airmen, the musicians of Heritage Brass are committed to inspiring patriotism, communicating Air Force priorities, recruiting the best to serve the country, and honoring the nation’s veterans through the power of music.
This performance is co-presented by the School of Performing Arts and the Moss Arts Center.
