On Friday, Aug. 30, Virginia Tech will join colleges and universities around the country to celebrate College Colors Day.

What is College Colors Day? It’s a way to display your favorite college sports teams’ colors. Hokie fans will wear maroon and orange, and social media will rally around #CollegeColorsDay. The Town of Blacksburg is getting in on the fun, too, by showcasing Virginia Tech flags all along Main Street all weekend long.

This year, College Colors Day coincides with Gobblerfest 2024, so expect a sea of maroon and orange on and around the Drillfield during the annual event that introduces students to Virginia Tech clubs and organizations.

Looking to score more Hokie gear? Virginia Tech partnered with Hanes and will give away T-shirts at GobblerFest. Follow @hokiegear on social media and use #CollegeColorsDay to have a chance at winning a gift card to the bookstore.

Get your gear at the Hokie Shop. Check out the new hats and T-shirts co-branded with Metallica. Now is your chance show your school spirit and literally wear your heart on your sleeve – pull out that Hokie-branded gear and wear it for running errands, going to class, or grabbing a meal.
