Radio IQ’s news magazine hosts swept the best radio news anchor category with “Morning Edition” host Jeff Bossert winning first place and “All Things Considered” host Craig Wright taking second place.
Radio IQ News Director David Seidel received the 2024 Robert Gallimore Distinguished Service Award. The award honors a Virginia broadcaster for outstanding service in the public interest and a broadcaster – active or retired – who exemplifies a commitment to journalism and reflects honorably on the news profession. It is named for Gallimore, the AP chief of bureau in Richmond from 1967-85.
“We’re grateful for the recognition we received from our colleagues in broadcasting. It’s these kudos along with community support that fuels our news team to continue to tell the stories of our region with heart and clarity,” said WVTF General Manager Roger Duvall.
The awards were presented at a ceremony on March 23.
