Logan Rawlings, a senior in the Department of Finance, Insurance, and Business Law, has been named as the recipient of the Phi Kappa Phi Medallion. This award is presented to a single student from each college at Virginia Tech, and Rawlings has been chosen to represent the Pamplin College of Business.

A financial planning and wealth management major, Rawlings is co-CEO of Bond And Security Investing by Students, or BASIS, a student-run investment organization that manages over $5 million of fixed income investments, and serves on the Finance Student Advisory Council. He is also a member of the Financial Planning Association and is an active member of his church.

“Logan has represented the Financial Planning and Wealth Management major with impeccable class and integrity,” said Vijay Singal, department head and J. Gray Ferguson Professor of Finance.

Following graduation, Rawlings will relocate to the Washington, D.C., area to join Goldman Sachs's private wealth management team.

“We're grateful that he chose to attend Virginia Tech and are appreciative of his countless contributions to the major,” continued Singal. “We could not be prouder of Logan and this accomplishment.”

Phi Kappa Phi acknowledges and advances outstanding academic achievement across various areas of higher education and engages the community of scholars in service to others. The society awards a medallion to one graduating senior per college, chosen from those with the highest academic standing in their respective colleges.
