Mahmood Khan awarded for outstanding contributions to graduate education

Mahmood Khan was recently honored with the Dr. Patrick J. Moreo Graduate Mentorship Award. A graduate professor in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Khan was recognized for his dedication to graduate education and mentorship within the field of hospitality and tourism.

The award was presented to Khan during the 29th Annual Graduate Education and Graduate Research Conference held in Miami, Florida. Sponsored by the University of South Florida’s School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, the award serves as a tribute to the memory of Patrick J. Moreo through its support of faculty mentorship and graduate scholarship in the field. 

With nearly fifty years of experience in hospitality education, Khan has guided 22 Ph.D. candidates, supervised 16 master’s theses, and mentored over 200 master’s students. Additionally, he has actively contributed to numerous international doctoral committees.
