Updated information on Blacksburg Police investigation

Blacksburg Police responded to the parking garage located at 723 University City Boulevard on Nov. 7 for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, officers discovered two deceased juveniles, as well as a weapon, inside the vehicle. Both juveniles have been identified as students enrolled at Blacksburg High School.
The Blacksburg Police Department and the Town of Blacksburg are working with Montgomery County Public Schools to ensure that any services MCPS staff or students may need are available. Investigators have been in contact and notified the next of kin for both individuals. It is the policy of the Blacksburg Police Department not to release the names of juveniles. At this time, it appears to be an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the community. This is still an active and ongoing investigation.

On Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 4:42 p.m., Blacksburg Police Department responded to the parking garage located at 723 University City Boulevard in reference to a suspicious vehicle. When officers arrived on scene, they discovered two individuals deceased in the vehicle.
At this time, it appears to be an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the community. No names will be released at this time.
