Virginia Tech’s beloved Alumni Weekend made a triumphant return in June with more than 2,000 Hokies celebrating both in Blacksburg and virtually.

Each summer, Hokies gather on campus for a weekend filled with unique opportunities and a chance to explore a quieter Virginia Tech. The summer tradition began in 2018, and this year, more than 1,100 Hokies returned to campus while another 900 participated online.

The four-day event featured behind-the-scenes campus tours, dinner and live music on the Drillfield, happy hours, activities for young Hokies, presentations from university leaders, a town hall with President Tim Sands, a farewell brunch with Virginia Tech coaches, and more.

The Hokie Spirit united generations as Cornerstone Alumni, recent graduates, and everyone in between celebrated their shared bond with Virginia Tech.

Planning is already underway for next year’s event, set for June 5-8, 2025. Learn more at alumni.vt.edu/weekend. Plus, see photos from this year’s event.
